Does anyone currently have an anyang 88? I am set to purchase one from James Johnson. I have done quite a bit of research but i value the opinions on this forum. Seems to be a great machine. James is great to deal with and i know he stands behind the product. This is the largest i can afford, and i am not interested in a hammer "project". I am aware i can find one "cheaper", but i am interested in purchasing a new, reliable machine and not have any surprises in the future. Thanks for any advice.

Hammer textured stock

I have recently moved to Utah. I love it here. I have found cheap (large) shop space. I am getting ready to purchase an Anyang 88. I already have a bit of work lined up. I had a customer interested in having 400 feet of one inch square bar hammer textured. Does anyone supply hammer textured bar commercially? I am trying to figure out a general price difference between one inch hot rolled square, and hammer textured one inch square. Trying to put my new hammer to work as soon as possible, but I have a feeling some of the fabricators may require similar services so I want to price it right the first time.
I realize that the only real way to put a price on it is to do the job and figure my time and material per foot. Just wanted to get some experienced opinions on the matter.
Thanks
Brian

Damascus bracelets

So a very nice lady contacted me through Etsy and requested three damascus bracelets! She is super nice to deal with so i went the extra mile and made some nice patterns. This was a fun project, i hope her three sons enjoy them! Thanks for looking.

Damascus Cuff Bracelets

I had a request for a damascus bracelet, so i used a billet of 15n20 and 1090 that i had in the shop and forged some bracelets. There is one forged from one inch cable as well. I found the cable on a naval base near death valley, no way to tell how old it is, but it looks like it had been there for a long time. I really enjoy making and working with pattern welded items, its like christmas when you etch them!

Damascus letter openers

I made these at the request of my wife who sells yarn and hand spun fiber. I had a billet of 1090 and 15n20 laying around so i cut off some chunks and forged these up on the Fontanini. Thanks for looking.
