Pop-Pop, Put-Put, Tup-Tup, many other names describe the sound. These are tin boats with simple diaphragm impulse steam engines that operate with a candle. They were popular in the 20's, and still made today as a niche market.
I have built 2 working engines now. One a simple coil of 1/8 inch copper tubing, the other a 2 inch diameter...
