There is a section in the Foxfire Book 5 that features Hershel House as a younger man, that whole book has lots of information about blackpowder guns; in fact I like the whole series.

I like the blade shape on the first one, the handles look a little thick to me; but I do favor a full tang with handle scales. How did you attach the handles? I usually pin the handles on even when the knife has a hidden tang.

I call it a "hidden tang" because the tang/tail(?) of the blade hides inside the handle when open? I'm not sure what else to call it, on some of my other knives the tang rests on the handle as a stop.
