I am retired US Coast Guard and now work for the State of NC. I am married and have three children all grown and moved out. I work under the shade of an old oak tree waiting to build a smithy. I am a hobby blacksmith and make Fredrick crosses, BBQ tools, tools ie hardy tools, all sorts of things from horseshoes. I have recently been asked to make hinges for a friend in WV that is building a log cabin.
