  1. Ive been doin bladesmithing for the past 4 years or so but i've never found anyone near me that did anything like that so everything i know was either learned from a boo or self taught. Im past the point of really needing a teacher but i would still like to meet other smiths in the area to learn from/with.   3. wow thanks man ill look into it, im currently talkin to someone about an anvil but if it doesnt work out (or maybe even if it does) ill try your suggestions

  5. ive been makin knives for about 5 years now and due to a lack of funds ive been unable to get a real anvil, i used a cheap cast iron anvil for awhile and now im usin a piece of rail road track, now though im in a situation where i could afford a good anvil if i could only find one. i live in northeastern tennessee and am willing to drive a good distance if need be, any help would be greatly appreciated

  7. for anyone in the U.S the triangle T corp. uses 02 steel for the blades on it equipment, i got some from a freind that used to work with a wood chipper with blades made by them and he gave me the old blades, i havent gotten a chance to make anything from them yet because not long after i broke my right wrist but as soon as i can ill let yall know how the steel forges
