SMCaduceus
I have a 4 1/2", hang over bench mount, Chas. Parker vise that I got out of my grandfather's old shop. I can't seem to find any info on this specific model and I was hoping you guys could help. It has "No. 146" stamped on the side. I've seen forums on Parker vises, but none include this model no. Any info would be helpful. Thanks
beech
I guess that I get to ask what the others will ask: can you post pictures? A quick Google search didn't seem to find it, maybe more looking will.

Jim Coke
Greetings SM, I think you will find your vise is a pattern makers design. Tall large jaws. Forge on and make beautiful things Jim
4GB
I have the same exact vise (was my great-great grandfather’s) and just learned that it’s from the 1880’s. The tall jaws are designed for woodworking and can accommodate wagon wheels.
