b4utoo
Anyone know the symbol on the flatter hammer? There is two weird two odd tipped hammers And on has writing that I can't make out, any ideas? Looks like J. SHAR ...or J. SHAI
Frank Turley
Looks like a flatter and an edge/border tool, the latter being rocked along linearly with the longer tip acting as a fence. Several years ago, the tool collector, Kenneth Lynch, had amassed many smithing tools and lots of them were from Europe, especially France. With his passing in Wilton, CT, there were some dispersal sales, and some of the tools had markings such as yours.
b4utoo
Didn't think of a edging tool, but makes sense... What about hammer with small point...? These came from a ranch type house in high desert small blacksmith shop...nothing looked to be used really in years...

Frosty
Will it open a bottle? If it looks like a bottle opener and opens a bottle like a bottle opener it's a bottle opener! Frosty The Lucky.
