This could be fun; book early enough and popping over to England isn't much more expensive than a Friday night out...I need to keep these dates in mind. Hard to know ahead right now for me though.

I'd be a maybe/ pending yes.

So a useless on the fence answer there haha.

In general though, well done putting in the leg work to get things rolling! Things don't happen without people like yourself.

How long for each competition? 30mins, 1 hr, 90mins, 2 hrs, half a day, all day, team or individual?????? Newbies or professional ?

Materials supplied obviously, tools supplied or specified ?  If they don't know what they are making, how do they know what tools to bring, competitors usually bring too many, but leave the ones required in the workshop.

Individual items or to a sample?

Preparation and finishing times in with time allowed or seperately ?

Are the competition pieces are all going to be different each day/hour, because if you are running them over a three day period, there will be potential competitors watching to see what is to be made, then go away and practice and come back later.  Far better to give an idea of what is to be made so that all are on the same understanding.

Exception to this is making to match a sample.

Lists can then be drawn up applicable to times etc

here is a post from Alec on facebook

Alec Steele

"Having learnt the "Tools to make tools" curriculum while studying with Brian Brazeal and subsequently teaching and demonstrating the techniques around the world, I think it would be brilliant to bring it to the UK. The feedback from our demonstrations at the IBF was fantastic and I would love to open up the opportunity for others to learn some of the core principals of the tools to make tools curriculum and subsequently forge to finish their own tools in a director/striker team over three days of this event. I would love to hear some feedback so we can ascertain whether this will be viable. It will likely be open for 6-10 people only and last the whole course of the event. Allowing you to get an insight into the tools to make tools curriculum and bring home the key tools the curriculum is based around."

if anyone is interested I can relay messages. Dave

edited to add the removed CRs when I posted
