Started my first gas forge.

After reading many post i got down to the nitty gritty and started my forge.  Got this done in about an hour and a half but now its at a standstill till i get the rest of the stuff to finish the burner and to coat the inside.  One thing that i have tried was to finish this with as litttle invested as possible.  So far everything is what i had laying around that i had already paid for.  I also had a turbo torch kit i havent been useing that is for lp gas or mapp gas that i am concidering to use or i can scrap parts off this old gas grill that i found in some ones trash.  For the inside im getting ready to get a new water heater and wonder if the guts of that thing can be used from the old water heater some how.  Just my rambleings.

If you have the large heater tip for the turbo torch I think 300 cu/in forge volume is within reason. I don't know though, that's an educated guesstimate.

Judging by the sound my turbo torch isn't near the BTU output of a 3/4" naturally aspirated burner. However, a Turbo torch may just be quieter. I'd have to experiment and see. I'd just roll Kaowool into a tube and a wad to block one end and insert the burner. Gradually change the dia and length till it hit the heat I need and go with that for the build.

Please let us know how it works.
