It's a Beaudry, looks to be in the 100-150# range, hard to tell with that guard!  Big anvil sitting next to it as well.

Agreed. My 100 lb Beaudry weighs about 3000 lbs and that hammer looks similarly proportioned. Williams and Wilson was the factory distributor who sold it initially. Mine has a tag in the same place with a different name.

The entire shop is a forging station - look at the forges and other equipment.

Congrats.

If I might ask, what did you end up paying? You can Pm me if you would prefer. I'm just trying to get a feel for what something like this goes for so I can start saving my pennies.

Beaudry is the Rolls Royce of factory made mechanical hammers. The price shouldn't be comparable to a Little Giant or one of it's Dupont style clones.

Jack that hammer was made the same year as my 2 smaller Beaudries in 1920 yours was probably made mid summer that year mine were 70 hammers apart  and the early one was march 1920 and the later early sept yours was 25 hammers before my later one looks to be a nice clutch model 100 #4 from what I see?
