Source for 1/8 white or ivory LINEN micarta?

Recommended Posts

USAKnifeMaker seems to have several returns on linen micarta for knife scales, looked to be in stock as well.

there is a 'bone' color that's probably a little too yellow to qualify as ivory, and they have a 'bleached melamine' linen micarta which is stark white, but IDK if that's the right product.

I remember years ago using Melamine for counter tops and quit using it because of cracking problems with the edges. Since knife handles are almost entirely edges that is out. But thanks for trying, appreciate it.

I don't care for the [non] pattern in the paper micarta and want the white or ivory linen. Guess I won't be using any white...

Rich, I checked all my sources and none list white 1/8 linen micarta in white or ivory.

I had checked the suppliers list as well. I also went back to the list after your post. I still don't see any of the material I am looking for.

I'm with the *make yer own* school. Its easy and you get what you want :) However if DIY just isn't in your wheelhouse, Chinobi nailed it: I went one click further and found Linen - Bleached Linen Melamine 1/8"

Might need to update your source list ;)

Edit: To be fair, US Knife Maker Supply isn't listed in the "Handle material" list but it is in the >Supplier list thread , From there its just a click or 3 or an appropriate search keyword away.

Your mileage may vary :D

Several years ago i wanted some red in wider strips. I had to wait until they got a whole sheet in but they cut me 4 by 39 inch strips so i could cut across instead of toward the end. i think they charged me $30 some dollars a strip. i thought it was a bargain.
