dphigh
The log splitter i have in mind is 4 ton is that enough what sort of stuff could it do with that amount of power?
Dan W
I dont know about a power hammer, but I do know you can use it as a press and you can leave it horizontal, you dont even have to stand it up.
JeremyP
I've seen them used as presses. the small electric/hydraulic splitters wont move fast enough to be an effective hammer but 4tons should be enough to press forge smaller pieces. dphigh
By power hammer i literately meant a powerful hammer type instrument that moves metal quicker than my poor poor arm!

GobblerForge
When the gallery gets running again, look in Gobblerforge gallery. I used hydraulic parts to build my tire hammer. Gobbler
walkerironworks84
The Mad Dwarf site was the first time that I saw one. It doesn't operate very fast but it certainly gets the job done.
saintjohnbarleycorn
I couldn't work without it. Its a 10 ton or so vertical, made a number of fixtures for it. Just using it today makes very quick work of railroad spikes, not sure if the 4 ton would do as good of a job. good luck. I think I have some pics in the gallery of it. kevin
