Hi

I am from South Africa and stay in a small town called Queenstown in the Eastern Cape area.

I am a beginner Blacksmith for a hobby. The proud of my "workshop" is a small metal coal forge which is powered with a hand cranked F55 1/2 British Akosa and the anvil is from Mouse Hole Forge about 55 kilograms.

Good to see there are also South Africans here.

Looking forward to learn a lot .

Nice to hear there are Blackmiths in the eastern Cape. Johanvn from PE is also a member at IFI Maybe you guys can make contact.

Dankie vir jou gasvryheid .Ek sal vir seker jou n luitjie gee indien ek vashaak met iets of in daardie omgewing is.

Ek kom maar selde in Johannesburg omgewing.

Dit is jammer dat kuns van 'Blackmiths' so uitgesterf het in ons land met vergelyking met die ou dae.

It is sad that the art of Blacksmiths is not being practiced as much in our country in comparison with the past.
