I guess my question was more if it would hold up to welding temp is what i cant find in the forum i know it would work but i dont like doig stuff twice

Hello i am trying to start black smithing and i have a wood furnace out of 16 ga black iron an i was thinking of puting some insulation and brick and then a other layer of 16 ga black iron and make a gas forge out of it just wondering if this would work or i would need thicker steel inside and sorry for any errors im french haha
