  1. Nice. I started one yesterday and will be stealing shamlessly:-) Did you buy the rubber contact wheel? I have been vainly trying to Come up with something that could be repurposed
  2. Hello, I don't know if this site has been posted before but I thought I would link these spinning books. I've read the first already and it was pretty good. There are some errors from from whatever process they use to convert them to digital but not bad. Lots of other good stuff on that website. http://www.craftsmanspace.com/free-books/metal-spinning-crawshaw.html http://www.craftsmanspace.com/free-books/metal-spinning-machinerys-reference-series.html
  3. HWooldridge- Do you hang out on PM? The username sounds familiar. Yes, I worked in injection molding for 8 years. A lot of mold repair & troubleshooting and some mold making. I liked the work but they were making fewer & fewer new molds so I left to get more spindle time.
  4. New member from Topeka introducing myself. I have been a machinist professionally 15 years and have had a hobby shop almost as long. Some thing about metal working really appeals to me. I am looking at trying my hand at some other areas of metalwork and that is how I ended up here. (I guess I just needed longer tool want and project lists.) Here is a thread w/pics of my shop from Practical Machinist: http://www.practicalmachinist.com/vb/member-shop-photos/my-new-shop-228915/ Jon Bohlander
  5. Newbie signing to say I am very interested in spinning. I just bought and read The Art of Metal Spinning by Paul Wiley. I then did a Web search and ended up here. Next I need to try my hand at it and am sure I will have many questions after that. :)
