  1. Those are scaffold brackets to hang off a pair of ladders. You run an expanding plank between two ladders and can walk and paint between the two . When I was young, my Dad was a school teacher and during summers, he painted houses. We had several sets in the garage.
  2. My first projects were a stand for my air tank charcoal forge, a propane forge and stand, a three legged stand for my anvil, a 2 foot by 2 foot fab table on wheels and a post vise stand. Definitely gorilla welds, but you gotta start somewhere. Dale
  3. I've been hobby blacksmithing for 3 or four years now. Mostly I've made knives, but I took a few workshops and have made tools and have started dabbling in ornamental iron work. I have been lurking for a while and really like the community atmosphere. I've also been doing some welding. A buddy gave me a lincoln buzzbox and I picked up a MIG welder.
