  1. What pressure are you running it at? I have the three burner forge and was having similar issues. I lost the instruction sheet that came with it (if anyone can send me a copy I'd appreciate it) so I'm not sure, but I don't think it was very clear about what pressure you need it to be to forge weld. I haven't tried yet because of the fuel consumption but I think I wasn't running it nearly high enough. I run mine around 10-15 psi and i don't think it would weld at that temperature.
  2. I didn't know where else to ask this, so I'm sorry if I should have posted it somewhere else. I'm in the process in getting my forge up and running I'm finding the need for a torch. I'm an iron worker so I've used cheap torches, and I've used nice ones. So I don't want to just buy a cheap torch, ive seen some bad ones wear out in a week or two. I've always liked victors, but spending that much is hard when there are other quality brands out there. So I was mostly wondering if anyone had any experience/suggestions as far as torches go. I'd rather learn from someone else's mistakes. I'd primarily use it for cutting, and maybe starting my forge up. Thanks for any advice
  3. Hey everyone, I'm here in the eastern panhandle to WV. I joined this site years ago when I first got interested in blacksmithing but work got in the way, now my hours are better and my living situation will allow for a forge. I'm in the process now of setting things up now. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, it's always appreciated
  4. Thanks, I emailed miller earlier, I'm just waiting to hear back. I've heard that most were made by miller but some are made by other companies. I don't actually own it yet, my boss offered it to me for $800. I'm trying to decide if it's a good deal or not. I need something gas powered because of the location of my forge, and since I'm doing this recreationly I don't want to spend a fortune on one yet. I'm in the eastern panhandle to WV so Atlanta is a little far but I appreciate it. If anyone knows of anywhere closer it'd help
  5. I'm hoping someone on here can help me out. I have an airco super hornet that runs, but it won't weld. I know nothing about this machine and I am having a hard time finding any information on it. If someone can help me out I'd really appreciate it. It's stock number is 1350-1121, and the seriel number is 72-651275.
