VG0006 Apple Yummies
By Woody Hanson
Take enough apples for an apple pie, peel and slice them.
Put them in a sauce pan with
1/2 cup white sugar or splenda,
1/2 cup brown sugar or brown Sugar Twin,
1/2 cup water,
1/2 tsp Cinnamon,
1/4 tsp Cloves.
Simmer for 5 minutes or so.
Add 2 Tbsp butter, and dissolve 2 Tbsp Cornstarch in a bit of water.
Add to the apples and cook till thickened. Pour into a greased pie pan.
Combine 1 cup Bisquick, 1 cup Milk and 2 eggs, add a bit of sugar or Splenda, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon, mix well and pour over the top of the apple mixture. Bake in a 400 Degree F. oven for 30 minutes till golden brown.
Note: For those watching their sugar intake or diabetics, the Splenda and Sugar Twin will really cut down on the carbs.
I was aiming for an apple cobble type thing, but it came out as a cross between an apple cobble and a bread pudding with apples all through it. Whatever it is, it sure is good.
