Default New Sections added to IForgeIron

There have been several requests to add machinist blueprints to the site. Many of the blacksmiths have a lathe, shaper, planer, mill, etc as well as a forge. The machinist blueprints should give us ideas on how these tools can be used and the projects they are capable of producing. BP0537 Boring head for the lathe spindle is already posted.

There have been several requests to add woodworking blueprints to the site. Many of the wood workers came to IForgeIron to learn how to make their own tools. These blueprints will show us how to make the tools used in woodworking and show us how they are used. This will help the blacksmith in making the tool and the wood worker in getting the properly made tool from the best metal for the job. BP0538 Saw Table or Bench is already posted.

The Blueprints will also be expanded to include the metalworking projects that are made. Show us step by step how you made the sculpture, the pot hanger, the coat hanger, the garden art work, or whatever the project happens to be.

We will continue to try to get as much material presented into the Tuesday night LIVE blueprints presentation as possible. Some of the new blueprints will only be announced, or they may be posted directly to the site. This will depend on the individual Blueprint.

To all the folks that have contributed to the over 500 Blueprints we now have on file, THANK YOU !! It is a wonderful resource of information. To those that have used this resource, now is the time to contribute. If you have blacksmithing blueprints, machinist blueprints, wood working blueprints, or project blueprints, send them in and we can present them on Tuesday and post them to the site for reference.

Contact me PM for details.

We have added a new section to the Blacksmithing area of the site called Power Hammers. The related power hammer material on the site has been moved to that section. This will keep all the information on power hammers together in one place.
