Well one thing is that Sparky had to suddenly change jobs and so may be a bit busy getting the new one in hand and not able to spend a lot of time on the site. I'm hoping that it will get cleaned up sometime myself.

Forgemagic is having issues again. The site gives the following message:

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request. The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

The Forgemagic folks are again welcome to use IForgeIron till they get things back on line.

GLENN-- Mighty nice of you, sir. You have been so considerate in the past, I for one, really appreciate your efforts.

Glenn, they have not changed URLs. a gentleman has set up an alternative site that he's been copying the forum minus the spam over to.

Forgemagic has not moved to a new address. There is an ongoing problem with massive amounts of spam, ranging from nonsensical to pornographic on the original site. The site you list above has been set up to avoid that spam and it does so. It uses the format of the original site and is pretty much the same.

Some are choosing to "inhabit" the new site, many are sticking with the original site until the problems are ironed out by the owner/moderator. Some have said they will post to both sites.

Thomas is right - Darrell is using software that Allan gave him previously. From what I understand is that this was done as a temporary site to view without spam, As Allen has not be able to be reached or heard from. Darrell is not in my opinion stepping on toes - just providing a place for everyone to keep in contact with each other using the same format. If the site Darrell has continues after Allen is contacted still remains to be seen - in any case it's another spam free area for blacksmithing talk. Some like the format - some do not - for me it's another resource of info. - JK

You folks are right. Forgemagic.com

They are having a issue with spam in their forum section. The URL I posted is an attempt by one of the members of Forgemagic to deal with the spam.

I apologize for the confusion.

It is reported that Forgemagic.com is now having issues with spyware and trojans in addition to the spam. We wish them a quick cure to the problem.

The Forgemagic alternative is trying to keep the group together until the problems on Forgemagic are fixed.

This post is informational only, and made so you don't walk into spywear or trojans without warning.
