I'm holding up fine. Am very busy getting ready for Quad States, delivering hammers, and finishing another that's been sold.

Quad State is getting mighty close. Hope to see a herd of you there.

Do we need a sign-up sheet for volunteers to stand guard over the Fee gate?

All you QS people make sure you stop by my trailer and say hello. I will be (hopefully) beside John Elliot and the Blacksmith Supply truck.

When you stop by....it would be real nice if you spend some money too!!! But not required.

For those new to the IForgeIron site,

Blueprints BP0494 Note Holder posted today,
Blueprint BP0495 Rolling Note Pad Holder is set to post Saturday
Blueprint BP0496 Socket Holder is set to post Sunday.

We have added a book "The Art of Blacksmithing" to the IForgeIron auction
A0016 The Art of Blacksmithing

We are adding new material to the IForgeIron store
5 Books updated
1 DVD added The Shetland Anchorsmiths
1 IForgeIron Hat added
More to follow

The IForgeIron site moves a lot of information, and moves it fast. the above happened in just 24 hours and involved 3 different sections of the site. This does not include the posts to the Forum, the photos added to the gallery, etc. etc.

There is no one way to keep everyone informed, as different folks have different interests and visit different sections of the site. As some of the Forgemagic folks are new to the site, you need to know where to look for the new stuff. Hope it helps.

Louise & I are getting excited about going to Quad States; less than a week to go! We'll be setting up at or near to where we were last year; I'll have the canopy & firepit. Look for the Virginia flag & I'll probably have a Forgemagic.com sign up again, too. John Fe is doing blacksmiths' stew on Friday & I'll be slow cooking a couple of pork shoulders on the ol' Weber for Saturday. So, bring a chair & join the bs fest. If you have some pix to share, put them on a disc. I'll have a laptop & others will too.

So how do I do this? Almost, but not quite as smooth as the old forgemagic/keenjunk routine. But PTL no spam! Thanks for the interim hosting.

I did welding for a customer this am, but didn't enjoy it. I'll go back Monday to do some POS shipping containers.

At the third world I spent most of the day doing ressurection of tool boxes and a Cincinnati Milacron Monoset tool sharpener bought at yesterday's auction. An annual Amish shindig for charity. Cleaning mostly. The tool boxes were relatively easy. The tool sharpener was in some sort of woodworking environment so I had to remove years of grunge that included saw dust. I also had to resurrect a flat trailer tire that had broken away from the beads, etc. overnight as the routine to get back to normalcy. The trailer tire blew last night several miles from the shop when the tire slipped off the blacktop. The rim is dented and the valve is missing. The spare was low on air and I had the air hose but not the electric cord to pump it up onsite. Country roads are way different in the East as compared to the Midwest. This morning the installed spare was flat.
