Thanks for the corner for us lost souls Glenn,
I have always considered the internet as a tool to be used. But, when you get to meet and know bunch of like minded folks it tends to become more than that...
Glad to see so many folks reporting in.
All this talk of John Fe's gate I am wondering when it will be on world tour so that we can all admire it properly ?
Hurry back sparky

Thanks, Glenn for taking us in for a bit. It's kind of like we got caught in a spam downpour & Iforge is our shelter. Much appreciated!

This is awfully nice of Glen, although I was bit taken aback by Sandpiles avatar, then I realized it was him.

There are probably some here who have not read how my family was saved by a flag from the USS Oklahoma. I call it "Flag of Freedom" You can read the story on line, It is posted at

The Flag of Freedom

I have just learned that that flag will be used in the Pearl Harbor Day celebration at the dedication of the USS Oklahoma Monument. I will be there as an invited guest. We must not forget those brave men who faced the enemy that day. Four hundred twenty nine sailors and marines from the Okie died that day, the second largest toll after the USS Arizona. 'Till now they have been in unmarked pits at the back of the Punch Bowl cemetery.

We spend millions looking for remains in Viet Nam, and we should, to give the remains a decent burial. We have 429 sets of remains in pits on pour own soil and they have been unmemorialized until now.
