Jayco
There are two methods of uploading images to the forum. Type in your text as usual, click on go advanced, (if your not in the advanced text mode), and click on browse to locate the image on your hard drive. Click on the image name than open to place it in que. Repeat as needed for more images. When finished YOU MUST click the top upload button and then YOU MUST click SUBMIT REPLY to save the post and images.

Method two.
Type in your text as usual, click on go advanced, (if your not in the advanced text mode), enter the image URL (the image must be a working and viewable image on the internet) into the box labeled *Upload File from a URL* and then click the lower UPLOAD button. Repeat the process for additional images with 4 being the maxium (I think). Then YOU MUST click SUBMIT REPLY to save the post and images.

Photos in the forum
explains how to use the gallery to post photos in the forum.

The preview may or may not display the images.

Hope it helps. If you have questions, contact me again.

Are these updates to the Joomla core or changes / upgrades to the add on modules? If you don't want to talk about them here, I'd love a PM about it, I'm working on a Joomla based CMS for the School District and I'm interested in the details.

Thanks, Larry

I will call you to discuss the details.

Glenn, my problem with the thumbnails in the forum turned out to not be a problem after all.
I was just used to seeing that thumbnail on the 'preview post'.
I went ahead, submitted the post,....worked fine.

Guess I need to brush up on 'puter skills a little more.....
