Tools: hand hammer recommendations

Hello,
I thought i would ask the experts on this

My girlfriends father is a blacksmith located in the philippines, he has requested an american made 4lb sledge. I believe it is called a double faced? His main problem is the only hammers available to him are poorly made hammers from china and are destroyed in a few days, they showed me one that was flattened another with a large chip.

So does anyone have suggestions on the most durable material/brand? for the price and where to buy.
