Depending on when the order is going to be placed, a 2.75 forged one is right around what I've wanted for a while.

Markh we are getting together an order for the original Hofi Hammer to be shipped from Israel. Look under Blacksmithing on this forum.

I spoke with Hofi and the forged hammers are hand made and each has a very slight difference in balance. The professional blacksmith (such as the German blacksmiths) work with the hammer 8-10 hours a day get to know the feel of the tool. They would prefer the cast hammer as it has a slightly better balance. He quickly added that most folks could not tell the difference.
