Thank you for the photos. There is no question in my mind that a lot of muscle energy and sweat was produced while using all of that equipment. As I view the photos, I can only imagine what it would have been like to work back when that equipment was in use. I believe the videos of the “Chain Makers” (found on you.tube.com) gives a good idea of how hard they had to work back then. Ted Throckmorton

Where is the Fisher and Norris museum? I thought the lifting bails were pretty cool - an easy and safe way to pick up an anvil with a crane or lifting bar. I think I will build one to use on demo weekends. |
