i always use beeswax to finish my smaller products like hooks and such. but i just heard of hot dip in vegetable oil. get the piece to a black heat then submerge it in oil bring it out and let it cool then wipe off the surface. i have not tried it yet. has anyone done this and had good results thanks.. Son |

Just grab on them with a small area set of tongs, and there is no reason to hold it tight just hold it loose and dip. Don't let it cool completely in the oil and set it out on the table(wood COULD be a fire hazard set it on metal) and it flows and drips all over the whole peice.
