I wear a waist apron made of leather. It started out as a full front apron and I modified it. It was hot and uncomfortable for me. I found that when I did not wear one I was getting dirty right at my pockets on my jeans. I then saw Ken Swartz to a demo and he had a waist apron on. I love a waist apron, it is a lot more user friendly for me. Peyton

The apron I found handiest for light work was an old wrap around leather miniskirt from tjhe thriftstore for about a dollar---used it for years. The best part was assuring folks I wore a leather miniskirt when forging---gave me a lot more personal space in crowds!
