Pack the tube with dry sand, weld on endcaps with a 1/8" hole in each to let expanded air escape, heat and bend. If you need a really tight radius, mitre and weld.

How thick are the tubing walls, how tight a bend do you need ?

It was for a jury-rigged bending jig.

No problems though, I just bashed it over the anvil to a rough 90, and then creased the end until it dropped into the hardy hole.

Ugly but it works.

The blacksmith makes the tools, eh?

Put a piece of round stock in the square tubing to support the walls of the tubing at the bend, heat and bend. This will also work for twists in tubing.
