Default Modern Hammer Co??

Anyone familiar with these hammers? I was in a shop today and saw one. Tag said it was made in Grinnell Iowa.

There is one in the restored blacksmith shop in New Braunfels. Sadly, we did not have power inside the shop so never tried to fix the hammer but it appears complete and could probably be returned to working shape.

Paul Parencia had one and sold to John Bergman, here is a link that may be helpfull. I havent talked to John in a few months, but had had just recieved the hammer and was getting it up/running. Im sure he has it operational by now, give him a email, his contact info. is on the thread-

Hey Birdog and Lamey,
Been working too many other projects lately. Don't have any new info on the "koch" Modern Hammer. Will continue this winter.

The machine I saw came from a knifemakers shop in Kentucky.
