Arrow homemade mechanic hammer

I am finishing my gas forge and I will then go to making of power hammer
I saw the video on you tube called :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzbmX9ZbD3w[/url]

and I think it is quiet easy to make my one but I think that round ends are wrong rather a square ending ...
I have everything except a important part: whell with a spring that rotates and makes hammer splash (from straight turning)
Is it possible to make my one?

If you go to anvilfire.com there is a lot of info on JYH's (junkyard hammers) there, lots of pic's also, which if your like me that is the most important thing, I can figure something out with a couple good pictures just as fast if not faster than I can with a detailed drawing,

Here's a link to a set of plans to get you started on you power hammer. Yes combination dies will be more useful. Which are rounded on one and flat on the other.

I would love to see your shop. You seem so excited by the idea of becoming a blacksmith .
I love seeing people get excited about a creative thing.

You will see my shop... when it is compleated,...haha

The Day will come....

(and I found a abandoned truck in the bush with plenty of STEEL on it and around... because "steel hunters" took everything from my island)

canīt talk about it I mean around 500 tons of frames military cranes railroad tracks and atomic doors from 50ī-60 years while a coldwar was on.. (doors are 5 cm thick)but now gone forever!

Do you have "steel hunters" problem in your town-s???

I sure do around here, their only saving grace is that they all mostly sell to the place I buy scrap from. Cost me more but then I don't have to go hunt the stuff down

I am on an island so they take it on land... I go in that scrap yard when my father and I go to sell copper from el. cables, the owners are very rude and inpolite you must almost attack them to sell you a piece of iron
