| Grarr. Im mostly liberal, but there are liberal ideas I dont like. This is ridiculous. Some people call me a hippy liberal, based partially on where I live. I correct them, and say , No, Im a guntoting hippy liberal. Weapons are about the only place I dont share liberal views. |

| How many of us have taken a screw driver out of a box and tried to stick it in a board or just tried to stick anything in something. I admit it and boy was my Daddy upset when he found it stuck in the wall of the shop. I found out that day how to respect tools and use them properly. I guess what I'm trying to say is if people were taught how to use guns and knives properly and the ones who didn't use them right were punished like they should be, instead of maybe getting a slap on the wrist. The rest of us wouldn't be walking around wondering when they were going to take away or hammers and pencils or anything that might cause potential harm (like a cup of hot coffee in the face). My 2 cents worth.

| Parphrased News report: "A man was recently detained while boarding an airplane. Found in his possession was a compass, a slide rule, and a pair of dividers. It was later discovered that the man was from the elite group known as Al-ge-bra. He was detained for transporting weapons of math instruction." Yes, this is a joke, but its not too far off base from where this world is going

| Its been said so often it sounds like a cliche, but it remains true: the price of freedom is vigilence. In our case(s) that means being registered to vote, knowing where candidates stand on issues, and voting your beliefs. Nothing else you can do takes the place of being an informed voter.

| If I shoot you with a gun or stab you with a blade all you will hear about is the weapon. If I burn down your house with you and your family in it and kill all of you / all you will here about is me. / you will not hear one word about the match that I used to commit the crime. Common sense is in short supply and that supply is deminisioning with each generation. Mike Tanner PS I would have never thought that I would ever post to a SWORD thread

| We have yet to ban, abolish or limit the most vile, dispicable, dangerous and outrageous weapons in the world. The Weapons of Mass Destruction: Lawyers, Lawmakers, Stupid Politicians and self serving activists.

| If I recall correctly: Didnt the Rulers of of SCottland try banning all weapons before? I.E. no one except the kings guard could have swords. etc. but that didnt seem to stop Robert the Bruce at Sterling Bridge... I guess he forgot to register his army |
