AVAST ye seascum!

Both the blade and guard were forged seperately, never intended to put one on the other but WOW do they fit huh? Comments, critique, suggestions all welcome. Was going to go along a elvish/fantasy line with this blade, but wanted to try that S guard I had done to see how it would look.

Sam, I don't know anything about swords.........but I like it!
That blade and guard do go together.
Be sure and post some pics when it's finished.

I think its got great potential, but I can not recall EVER seeing Sam finish a blade.... I am not sure he ever has, except once there was one SEAX he sold to a guy in Indianapolis a while back. I think Sam made it for him, but I am not sure..

looks pretty good but.... put a handle on it and try it with your hand .. is the gaurd a little close to the knuckle toward the top of the gaurd? ive had problems with this in the past so that is why i reccomend checking it before you get too much farther along .. its cureable at this stage... good dezign tho!

DB, That is a good point. I have to bend the guard out so the tail does not interfere with the pommel, so that should give more than enough room at the top for the knuckles.

Thanks guys!

The Pie Rats are on the loose! Run for your lives or at least your pie safe. Nice looking hunk of steel. Are you going to make the hand guard wider like a cutlass or leave it like it is?
