Default Greetings . . . and . . . VISE ?

Hello:

my name is rick sturtz . . . i live in central, WI, where my wife and i are dutifully restoring an 80-acre farmsted. my wife teaches; i make furniture. thanks for this forum!

question: i have an opportunity to purchase a #18, 8" x ~ 32" long holland vise for general farm maintenance projects. it's an amazing (vintage) piece of iron, and at $150 seems like it would be a good purchase . . . may i ask what the general consensus is about this behemoth?

thanks for any insights.
