Ferric Chloride source?

Default Ferric Chloride source?

Does anybody have a place they like to get Ferric Chloride from *other* than Radio Shack?

i'm in that same boat, isnt a Radio Shack close by me that has it. they have been out for several months now. any good online places that sell it? and what are all the different types of ferric chloride i see on some of the chemical sites?

Evening fellas! There is a source from California named Sur-Fin Co., I believe. They carry all sorts of chems for metal. Faux bronze/ brass finish, ferric chloride, things like that. surfin.com, I think. Or sufinchemical.com maybe. Hope this helps.

Any art supply stores that carry block/ lithograph printing supples will have Ferric Chloride.

Default ferric acid

I had to just keep hitting different Radio Shack stores. When I finally found one that it in stock, I bought three bottles. Three bottles will last a long time, when mixing at a diluted rate.4 to 1 or 5 to1. With water being the bigger number.

If you are having trouble finding i, you can boost your old mixture by adding 5% muriatic acid to help give it a kick. I personally use it 3 to 1 mixed.

EVery time I have bought the etchant the radio shack store has told me the did not have it..I just smile and say lets look, usually on a top shelf somewhere they have a couple of bottles, I have yet to find a store that did not have it and yet to find any one that worked there that knew they did.
