Default Saying Hello!

Hello all been lurking here for awhile. Whenever I used to visit a historic site or reenactment I was always fascinated by the smithy. Always said I would do that someday. Finally took the leap last week and started acquiring some items...anvil, blower, post vise (I'll post that story in the blacksmithing forum and see if you all think I got a good deal.) Now I am gathering parts for my forge.

Anyway, I just wanted you all to know I have already learned a lot just from reading this site and from the photos posted. I look forward to talking with you all and hope to meet you someday at a hammer in.

Darryl

Welcome to IFI Darryl. You have actually done things very well by reading a lot first BEFORE jumping in. Now the "work" starts

Yep welcome to IFI.
What is this about reading the instructions BEFORE you start? Hmmm.... What an interesting concept! I'll have to give it a try next time (if I remember)
