Default Hello from AR.

Hello from Arkansas. I am new to forging and knife smithing, trying to get a shop set up. been a machinist/millwright for 30+ years.

hello JW,

great to have you here. When you get a chance go to the usercp at the top of the page and put in a location. Sometimes it helps in answering question if we know the area your in.

Where about in Arkansas are ya. I lived in Blytheville (northeast corner under MO. boot heal) for 3 1/2 years. I was in the Air Force there.

jwfletch, welcome to Iforgeiron!

While you're learning to make knives, your experience as a machinist/millright could come in handy around here.

We're all interested in learning new things (especially when metal is involved')

Howdy; I'm from Fayetteville AR---though living in NM right now; my mothers side of the family is from Cedarville and my father's side from Fort Smith; so I get over to NW AR every now and again. Where y'ah at?
