Default Greetings

I am new to these forums, found my way here from a link at another forum. I am hoping to find an instructor in Western Wa. Mostly I am interested in knife/sword making. But I haven't been anywhere near a forge since High school (9th Grade) metal shop and would need some refresher training.

I am currently at sea and won't be on dry land until next year sometime.

Don't think of it as *at sea*, think of it as floating in a large quench tank.

There are several smiths and knife makers from that area on IForgeIron. Take the time between now and when you reach land to study. IForgeIron.com > Lessons in Matalworking > Blacksmithing is a good place to start. Go to the bottom right of the forum page and click archive. Lots of good stuff there also. Welcome to IForgeIron.

Welcome aboard Howie.

Lots of top notch smiths in W Wa.

Seeing as you're alfoat I'll leave off with my usual suggestion to edit your profile to show your location. Of course you can if you wish.
