i would REALLY love to know the exact chemistry of neodymium iron boron magnets.

You hunting another source of alloying materials?

I'd guess that most commercial ones used propriartary mixes and so would not give out the specifics. You might look into reserch publications or dissertations for what they *may* be using; but without having them analyzed you are dealing with a guess.
