Default A moment of silence...

Sadly, I have just learned that yesterday during an airshow demonstration in South Carolina the U.S. Navy flight demonstration team, the Blue Angels, suffered a tradgedy which resulted in the loss of one of their own and injuring eight on the ground. The name of the pilot has not yet been released pending notification of his family. Unfortunately this is not the first time the Blue Angels have known loss. I personally witnessed this happen at an airshow in Niagara Falls N.Y. in the early eighties. I was stupified, not wanting to believe what I had just watch happen. The Blue Angels are the best of the best and yet from time to time this does happen. My condolances and prayers go out to this gentleman's family. Semper Fidelis and Amen.

It is a tragedyThey are scheduled to appear at the air show at Offut AFB, near here, first weekend in May. I Wonder how this will affect their schedule.

My kids used to work the air show at Offut as part of the Civil Air Patrol, and I always worried about them getting hurt or killed from an accident during the show.
