There are probably some here who have not read how my family was saved by a flag from the USS Oklahoma. I call it "Flag of Freedom" You can read the story on line, It is posted at

The Flag of Freedom

I have just learned that that flag will be used in the Pearl Harbor Day celebration at the dedication of the USS Oklahoma Monument. I will be there as an invited guest. We must not forget those brave men who faced the enemy that day. Four hundred twenty nine sailors and marines from the Okie died that day, the second largest toll after the USS Arizona. 'Till now they have been in unmarked pits at the back of the Punch Bowl cemetery.

We spend millions looking for remains in Viet Nam, and we should, to give the remains a decent burial. We have 429 sets of remains in pits on pour own soil and they have been unmemorialized until now.
