This post should assist you in finding your way around the IForgeIron site.

To post you must be registered, go to IForgeIron.com and on the left column under the box for your name and password look for "No account yet? Create one". (click here). Read the forum rules, click "I have read, and agree to abide by the Blacksmith Forum rules", follow the instruction and your in. Use the front page (Iforgeiron.com) to log in, enter your name and password, click the box "remember me" (to keep from timing out), and click "log in".

IForgeIron is divided into sections, the opening page, the forum, the gallery the chat etc.

Opening page: The blueprints are at the top of the page. Blueprints are some 530+ how-to tutorials divided into groups of 100. Click on the group then the tutorial you want to view.

Opening page: The Blog is the new material posted on the site. Check here to keep current.

Opening page: Lessons in Metalworking > Blacksmithing is a beginners tutorial on how to get started in blacksmithing. It is also a good index of Blueprints for new blacksmith. This is a new section and new items are added as needed.

Opening page: You Might be a ... is a list of ways to tell if you are a ... (humor)

Forum: New posts (top of the page) The new posts made to the site.

Forum: Quick Links (top of the forum page) is a quick navigational link to your personal settings. Click on "Quick Links" then "Todays Posts" and you get a list of the posts in the last 24 hours.

Forum: Archives (bottom right of the forum page) The archives. Click on the section you wish to view and then the topic. There may be several pages for each section so look for the additional page numbers 2,3,4, at the bottom.

Gallery: Some 4,200+ blacksmithing and metal working related images that have over 1,7000,000 views.

Chat: A live chat 24/7. Click on chat, click on the box at the bottom left of the page, type in your text and click send.


IForgeIron is subject driven and you can find the entire discussion on any topic (thread) in its entirety in one place. New material is at the bottom of the page and many times there are multiple pages to a thread (topic).

You can post to any section of the site at any time, and are encouraged to do so. If you have any problems or need assistance, just ask (post your question).
