most Old tools, like blowers never did have seals. leaking was a sign that they were getting a proper lube job. You filled it up daily untill it leaked and wipped the surface with the excess to keep it clean and to stall rusting. Trying to "fix" a leaking blower is like trying to teach a pig to dance, you will just get dirty and agravate the pig.
