Last month one of the fine members there offered me a road find he came across to use as an anvil. Well today I went with an empty trunk. I got tired of being hunched over on the ground it was killing my back. So it was time to make an ergonomic change. I took the drum lid and cut a hole in the center with my trusty Dremel big enough for the brake drum to fit into allowing the lip of it to rest on the lid. Then I went to the local handy dandy... I took some vacation this week and have taken the time to set up my make shift forge so I can start working on my basic skills. I was able to find some useful junk in the brush around the house. I found a section of 8" stove pipe, a 55gal barrel lid, and 6 pieces of 4'x 1/2" rebar :D.
