I'll never get the 75 finished by the end of the week as hoped. Just too many things remaining. Besides, it is tough to work in this heat wave with any real speed. I'll just keep plugging along in the early mornings and early afternoons.
Today's adventure was to complete the passenger side V-guide assembly installation, take the whole shebang apart and paint the pieces, and then in the afternoon reassemble. Also I started piecing together the pneumatic assemblies so that I could determine hole locations in the cladding on the driver side where the intake and exhaust go through and where the throttle shaft and bearing go. Made a throttle shaft. Installed the plate to which the 5-port valve attaches. The 5-port was set up with all the hose barbs and such in its final form. Ready for installation when the paint is dry tomorrow.
Went to town for some plumbing supplies. I really have gotten to dislike driving to town. I put it off until absolutely necessary and working conditions in the shop are bad.
Coulda mounted the anvil on the mill and prepared it for cutting the dovetail socket, but I want to attack that on a cool morning; maybe Monday. The plan tomorrow is to work on the intake and exhaust systems. The air cylinder arrived yesterday so it needs to be equipped with ancillaries. I know I need to make a ball connector and sandwich clamps for the 2-axis pivot.
