Well today was the day i had to make some changes to the way i work, i usually forge in the open air with a tarp for cover in case of rain, but today the dreaded first frost decended on me and my forge.
so weather is getting really cold and although the forge kept me warm, the heat was soon drained from the pieces i was working, so a quick phone call to trusty old pops and the use of his old tower scaffold with plywood boards attached on 3 sides and the roof was enough to make a weather tight forge and some happy smithing time for me.
But summer cant come soon enough in my view, i love the winter but it hinders my smithing

The winds are a bit colder and as you said, my work cools off quicker. But hopefully soon I will have a shed to work in if only to escape the chilled air.
Enjoy your shelter, stay warm, keep your fire hot.
