Today i decided to upgrade my forge from a fire brick nightmare, i used all scrap bits of steel that were just lying round the yard and some not so scrap bits, (sorry dad).
I used some 5mm x 100mm plate for the base and 50mm x 50mm angle for the sides, i also managed to liberate an old compressor from a skip cut one end off end welded it the base to make the fire pot then i took the rest of the compressor stripped it down welded all the holes up and turned it into a quench tank. used some more ,ahem liberated 30 x 30 box and 40 x 40 box for legs.
all i have to do now is sort out my air supply and im ready to rock. (forgive the pun).
will upload some photos tomorrow.
sorry it took so long but here are some pics of my new forge.
