This past Saturday was the Harvest Fest at the location our local club has our other forge. So of course we opened the doors to run a demo for the public on Friday and Saturday. Due to work I couldn't be there on Fri but I was able to be there on Sat. I got there at 08:30 to help set up and get the smithy opened up and the fires lit for the public. I was set up out side due to limited space in side I brought my forge and my kids RR track anvil to work with. I had a great time I had my fire running from 9am-5pm by the end of the day I was ready for a nap. Even though I was answering many questions I was still able to get a few tings made up. I made a tong rack for my kids anvil stand, several drive hooks, 1 pair of tongs, a punch to make the rivet hole for the tongs, and a triangle bell. I had a steady crowd all day and with many wide eyed kids.
All in all not a bad day.
If you all get a chance to participate in a demo event for your local group do it is a lot of fun.
All in all not a bad day.
